'American Condor', an American bird that lays eggs and hatches without sex

 



Two females of the genus California condor not only have no male partner, but also the male genetic DNA. U.S. wildlife researchers have discovered that the eggs hatch without hatching.

California Condor is an endangered species.

Scientists are surprised to find that California condors are capable of parthenogenesis or infertility.

Sierra Leone explosion: Scores dead after Freetown oil tanker collision

  t least 84 people have died after a massive explosion when a fuel tanker collided with a lorry in Sierra Leone's capital, Freetown.
