Leading campaigner killed in Hiroshima bombing
Suwon Suboy, a survivor of the world's first atomic bomb and campaigning against nuclear weapons in Japan, has died at the age of 96.
On August 6, 1945, Sunao Suboi was attending college in Hiroshima, Japan. That was the day the United States dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima.
Suno Suboy, the victim of the bombing, suffered burns all over his body.
The atomic bombing killed at least 140,000 people in Hiroshima. Sensing and experiencing this pain, Suboy devoted his life to campaigning for the elimination of nuclear weapons.
