Ban on skyrocketing buildings in small cities of China

 


China has banned the construction of sky-scraping buildings in small towns. It is part of a series of actions being taken against buildings built just for appearance.

Cities with a population of less than three million are prohibited from constructing buildings taller than 150 meters (492 feet).

In cities with more than this population, it is forbidden to build more than 250 meters in height.

  Suwon Suboy, a survivor of the world's first atomic bomb and campaigning against nuclear weapons in Japan, has died at the age of 96. On August 6, 1945, Sunao Suboi was attending college in Hiroshima, Japan. That was the day the United States dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. Suno Suboy, the victim of the bombing, suffered burns all over his body. The atomic bombing killed at least 140,000 people in Hiroshima.
