A gas stove exploded in a house in the Thiruvaiyaru area in Kilinochchi last (27) and a gas stove exploded in a house in the Kandarodai area in Jaffna yesterday.

No major accident was reported when the stove exploded and caught fire, as the gas cylinder was placed outside the kitchen at Kandarodai's house.

Cyril Suduwella, former head of the laboratory at the Sabugaskanda fuel refinery, made the remarks. He made the remarks in an interview with a YouTube channel.
