Maximum bid for Latin American artwork

 

The self-portrait of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo sold for $ 34.9 million at an auction in New York on Tuesday.

This is the highest bidder for a Latin American work of art.

  The United States has condemned Russia for testing a "dangerous and irresponsible" satellite missile. The United States has said Russia's experiment endangered those on board the International Space Station (ISS). Cities with a population of less than three million are prohibited from constructing buildings taller than 150 meters (492 feet).
