Worst hurricane in Canada - Road cut off connecting Vancouver

 

Officials say Vancouver, Canada, is experiencing the worst weather in a century. The worst hurricane to hit the area has cut off road and rail links around Vancouver.

Two highways connecting the west coast city of Vancouver have been closed due to severe flooding.
A woman was killed and at least two were missing in a landslide on the highway, rescue workers say.

Thousands of people were forced to flee their homes after a massive hurricane struck last Monday.

  The United States has condemned Russia for testing a "dangerous and irresponsible" satellite missile. The United States has said Russia's experiment endangered those on board the International Space Station (ISS). During this test of a Russian missile, a Russian-owned satellite exploded and shattered. This created debris in space, forcing crews on the International Space Station to enter the capsule for security reasons. The ISS station currently has seven employees, four of whom are Americans. Two are from Russia and one is from Germany. The ISS space station orbits the Earth at an altitude of about 420 kilometers (260 miles).
